Biography

Olivier Debré (Paris, 1920 - Paris, 1999).

The work of Olivier Debré is characterized by a gestural painting. His art is close from the one of Impressionist artists "I am very close, I repeat it, to Impressionists. Either if I paint with wide brushups or if I put touches, I am painting my emotion."

Close from monochrome, his works took monumental dimensions over time. By putting the pictorial material on fluid background, Olivier Debré shows the chromatic ambiance and the emotion felt looking at a landscape.
