Tribute to Marjane Satrapi
06.18.2026Interview
Meeting at 19h
Galerie Françoise Livinec. 24 rue de Penthièvre, 75008
The gallery pays tribute to Marjane Satrapi by inviting Michelle Perrot and Sarah Chicheto offer a different perspective on her life, her work, and her place in the history of women.
Sarah Chiche is a writer, psychologist, psychoanalyst, and a graduate of Paris Diderot University. Through her books, she explores themes such as melancholy, grief, and writing, notably in Personne(s), published in 2013. For her, psychoanalysis provides a way of thinking about love and its many dimensions while acknowledging the tragic aspects of existence, including the pain of loss. In 2023, she published Les Alchimies, in which she examines the artist's creative genius and the power of self-reinvention.
Michelle Perrot is a professor of contemporary history at Paris Diderot University and a feminist activist. A pioneer in the fields of social history, the history of marginalized groups, and gender studies, her work has profoundly reshaped the discipline and established her as one of the leading figures in the history of women. Influenced by Henri Bergson and Simone Weil, she brings the silences of the past to life by shedding light on entire sections of history that had long remained in the shadows. In January 2014, Michelle Perrot was awarded the Simone de Beauvoir Prize, which honors individuals whose work and actions have advanced women's freedom around the world.
