Pierre Célice
At the beginning of the 1970s, Pierre Célice works at Peter Bramsen's lithography studio who brings together international Cobra artists. At that time, he becomes pay attention to the works of other artists such as Bram Van Velde, Pierre Alechinsky, Asger Jorn and Karel Appel. Frequent visits to this place lead him naturally to the end of figuration.
Between gesture and color, Pierre Célice expresses unique plastic vocabulary due to his lyrical composition with paint and collage of colored papers.
His paintings have been exhibitied across the world from Paris to Shanghai, from Copenhague to Milano. In 2010, Pierre Célice created a monumental installation for the Evreux Museum. His work is integrated into the museum's collections like National Museum of Modern Art in Paris and Tate Modern in London.
